Incandescent bulbs with SBC/BA15D double contact base, single filament and power outputs 24W and above. Head or spot lamp application. 38mm globe diameter with 15mm cap diameter. Equal locating pins on cap. Available in a range of input voltages and power outputs. Single filament with a double contact base earths through one of the contact connections, rather than via the bulb cap as with a single contact bases.
This category of bulb includes AXIAL, TRANSVERSE and V filament variants - please see individual product descriptions for details. Axial filaments were originally recommended for Lucas 'Difusa' or clear vintage headlamp glass, 'V' filament bulbs were recommended for flat/domed fluted lamp glasses (e.g. Lucas 'U' Flute lenses) but they are now harder to find. There are no LED (or Halogen) upgrade options currently available for with a single brightness double contact cap combination.
